Christian McKeithen grew up in Southern Pines, North Carolina. After many years of service as an U.S. Navy air traffic controller, she then became a firefighter for the city of Charlottesville, Virginia. In 2003, she was accepted to Cornell University, where she received her Bachelor’s of Science degree. She went on to complete her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant studies from LeMoyne College in 2010.
She fine tuned her surgical skills as a Physician Assistant in orthopedic surgery with Cayuga Medical Associates and broadened her clinical knowledge base in the emergency department at Cayuga Medical Center. Her years of experience in emergency medicine prepared her for diagnosing and treating a wide array of dermatologic disease processes. She constantly strives for perfection, and her surgical experience allowed her to master surgical technique for aesthetics and best cosmetic and functional outcomes. She is passionate about patient care and comfort. She brings a genuine love and curiosity to diagnosing the many presentations of dermatologic issues.She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She enjoys participating in local philanthropic events, such as the Southern Tier Aids Project Ride for Life and swimming across Cayuga Lake to support Women Swimmin’ for Hospicare. Outside of work she enjoys cycling, running, gardening and life in Ithaca with her family.
