Mohs Surgical Physician

Dermatology Associates of Ithaca is a small business in Ithaca, NY.  We are professional, agile, and innovative.

We greet every day with a positive, can-do attitude and our patients feel welcome from the first phone call we receive to the minute they walk out the door. We send our biopsies to a premier lab outside of the area to ensure the most accurate results. We are looking for someone to join our ever-growing practice to help keep people closer to their homes while receiving exceptional care.


Perform specialized surgical procedures to remove common types of skin cancer.
Remove cancerous tissue layer by layer.
Analyze the tissue as you proceed closing the wound when it has clear margins
Prescribe medications and provide appropriate treatments
Manage patient data and maintain accurate medical records
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Stay up-to-date with medical advancements, research, and best practices
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe healthcare environment
Utilize electronic health record systems


Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution

Valid medical license in the state of New York

Board certification in Dermatology

Board Certified in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery

Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical standards of care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare setting

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

Note: Experience with dermal fillers is a plus, but not required.
